Character development. That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this movie. At the beginning, I didn’t know how I felt about both of the main characters, but especially Jennifer Finnigan (Madison). However, throughout the movie I grew to like her character more and more. It was great to see her bonding with Eric Mabius (Gage McBride’s) daughters. That seemed to make a big difference in the movie.
The only thing that seemed a little off was the resolution at the end of the movie. It seemed a little unrealistic to make the town of Christmas a Christmas destination all year long. I mean, I guess it could work, but it didn’t seem like it was well thought out. But, with that being said, it was a good movie and I enjoyed it with great company.
Also, any movie involving a small town already had my heart, so that was a plus as well!
I’m giving this one a 9.1 out of 10.
